HELLO!

 

I’m so glad you stopped by! I’m Jennie Contreras, the owner of Lotta Love Photo.  In 1997 I moved from New Hampshire to Nantucket and then to Aspen for “just the winter”. The stunning beauty, fresh air, amazing community and the easy access to everything outdoors is what’s kept me here. I feel incredibly blessed to live in a place that’s filled with so much awe and wonder! 

 

I have three teenagers and let me tell you - these kids grew up with a camera in front of their faces on the daily! But now, looking back, and feel so grateful  to have captured each and every stage of their lives through my lens and I hope to do the same for you!

 

My love for photography started when I was just 12 years old.  It’s my creative outlet, my joy and my passion. My goal is to capture each individual’s unique personality, one-of-a-kind expressions and special moments that you want to cherish forever. 

 

Now, while capturing personalities and real-life moments is my first passion, I’ve also developed a keen eye for photographing aspen trees. I have a unique eye for spotting and capturing these unique trees. Every time a customer has one of these special images on their wall, they tell me they feel like they’ve brought the outdoors in, and that is my favorite thing about these pieces!

A Typical Session: At your home, a favorite park or at one of our favorite locations.... you choose! We'll work together to determine the best time of day for your portrait session. We'll keep in mind nap times for little ones, feedings for newborns, and will work around the individual needs of you and your family.

Online Proofing: Approximately one to two weeks after your session, an online slideshow will be published. Feel free to pass along the link to anyone who would be interested in viewing your portraits. The gallery will be live for 2 weeks.  Once it has expired, you can extend or re-activate it one time only for an additional week. All ordered images will be archived for up to 2 years.

Clothing: For portraits involving more then one person, it is best to wear clothing that compliments each other. Solid colors, textures, dark jeans... but stay away from clothing with busy patterns or large logos. Colors, layers and accessories can be fun, but don't overdo it! Think about coordinating, but not matching. If the weather and season permits, barefoot is best. Shoes on children can tend to date a photo. Feel free to bring as many changes of clothing as you would like.You may bring along any props that you think might be fun; a basket for a newborn baby, a special swaddling blanket, favorite stuffed animal, a fun hat, birthday cake, umbrella, a tutu, a small chair... be creative!

Newborns: As far as newborns, the younger the baby the better. Babies under 2 weeks old are less likely to be disturbed while sleeping, they are more movable and less likely to have baby acne, which may develop around 3 weeks of age.
